All
Goldring inspections are done in accordance with the
Standards of Practice of the American Society of Home
Inspectors, (ASHI®) and the State of Connecticut.
Our home inspection is
a thorough top-to-bottom visual inspection of all the
aspects of the house you plan to buy. We encourage you to
be present to walk through the house with your inspector
whenever possible. We do not do destructive
testing, but we open the electrical panel, operate
heating and air conditioning (seasonal), walk on the roof
where it is safely accessible with a 28' ladder, run all
water fixtures, operate kitchen appliances to check on
their normal operation, test electrical outlets and
GFI devices, enter crawl spaces where conditions are safe
and the space is readily accessible, and do
all that is necessary to evaluate the existing
conditions on the day of inspection. The
inspector will explain various systems as you proceed
through the house, from the exterior to the
interior, from the basement to the attic. He will be
available to you by phone after the inspection for any
questions you might have.
